to remember:
dancing outside next to a swimming pool. the sky open wide and unblocked by buildings for the first time in months. the beat and the sun coming up over tokyo bay. the crowd moving under the changing colors of the sunrise. the cheering and the clothed people jumping into the water. the clinging and the smiling.
tokyo station, all but empty at 5:30 am. running. yelling. wrong way on escalators and moving sidewalks. sitting on the handrail and kicking my feet.
the singing and the smiling and the not caring.
my japan friends.
[this has been an 8:30 am sunday morning poem by christine. unproofread for your enjoyment.]
