Japanese television: the great cultural divide. I just cannot wrap my head around a piece of toast trying to teach children how to read.
one of my students randomly told me she watches "go! go! eigo!" so i asked her if she liked it and she said yes but "my friend is on that show" was beyond her english comprehension (hey she's 3)
